With Black Friday sneaking up on us, here are my top picks for the best Black Friday deals for home organization, cleaning, and homemakers.
(There’s no better time to purchase those things you need and have been waiting for than now, during the biggest sale of the year.)
This post is going to be short and sweet, straight to the point – all I’m talking about here are my favorite Amazon Black Friday sales, so if you’re not into Black Friday shopping, this post isn’t for you. 🙂
(THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE. YOU CAN READ OUR DISCLOSURE POLICY HERE.)
How to Save Money on Black Friday Shopping (do these 2 things before you start shopping)
If Black Friday deals are something you are interested in, here are two things you can do to save money & get the best price on every purchase you make…
Grab all the Black Friday deals & get free and fast shipping when you sign up for a trial of Amazon Prime, which you can do for free here. (Then all you have to do is cancel your trial before the 30 days is up and you don’t have to pay a dime.)
Secondly, use a cash-back service like Rakuten. (You can create a free account here & get a $10 cash bonus.) With Rakuten all you do is log in, select the store you want to shop at, then you can view exclusive discounts for Rakuten members & get a percentage of your purchase paid back in cash.
I have personally used them & get regular cash-back cheques from them. 🙂
On to the deals…
I’ll start with my very favorite Black Friday sale that is not an item, but rather a service:
Eat at Home Meal Plans (30% off with code DHBLACKFRIDAY30)
I’ve been using this meal planning service for many months now, and I absolutely LOVE it (and many of my readers have it & love it just as much). I reached out to Tiffany, the founder of these meal plans, and was able to get an exclusive 30% off coupon just for my readers. Use the code DHBLACKFRIDAY30 at the checkout. 🙂
I’m all for meal planning – it saves me LOADS of time, hundreds of dollars every month, and allows me to make healthy, homemade meals every night of the week (even on our busiest nights) because I’m able to plan well in advance.
Instead of being like every other meal planning service where they provide you with an empty weekly template and then you have to pick the meals, this meal planning serivice picks the meals that you’ll eat for you. So all you have to do is literally sign in, click “print my meals plans & shopping list” and you will have your weekly meal plan in your hands, as well as your shopping list already filled out with everything you need to make this week’s meals, in less than 5 minutes.
And then you carry on with your day. Because you don’t have to worry about planning meals or creating shopping lists. All the work is done for you, and you just get to reap the benefits.
(I could talk ALL DAY about this meal planning service. I’m SO happy with it, but I’ll get on to the other Black Friday sales now. If you’re interested in learning more about my experience with Eat at Home Meal Plans, you can read more here. If you’re ready to get the service for yourself, you can sign up here – plus, I got an offer exclusively for you, my reader, for 30% off the Eat at Home Meal Plans. Use the code DHBLACKFRIDAY30 at the checkout to get 30% off any of the plans.)
The Organized Home Course & Family Routines (25% off with code GRATEFUL)
The Organized Home is a course that I have personally taken and used to organize & declutter my home. I really enjoyed going through this course and when I lack organizing motivation (or when my house becomes about as messy as a pig pen) I log back in & refer back to Hilary’s tips.
Family Routines is a course I haven’t gone through yet, but plan to work through in a couple of weeks. It’s all about learning how to simplify daily tasks to make your home more peaceful & find joy in your daily routines.
Okay, now let’s move on to my top picks for other deals for homemakers…
- iRobot Braava Jet (mop)
If you struggle to keep your floor clean (especially if you have kids, pets, or are unable to mop yourself), the iRobot Braava Jet is a genius invention that frees up time & saves your back (no more bending over to mop & no more having to find time to mop). This Black Friday sale is the cheapest price I’ve seen it at yet.
I’ve never personally used the Shark vacuums, but according to the reviews of this one, people are very happy with it. I do, however, have a Shark steam mop which I LOVE and haven’t had any problems with. The thing I love best about this vacuum is that you can completely remove the canister from the stick so that you can reach into smaller, hard-to-reach places with this vacuum (and you can also use it to clean your blinds).
This is the mop I use in my house and I LOVE it. It doesn’t use any cleaners, all it cleans with is steam, and it does a fantastic job every time. (Plus, it’s on sale at a SKOOKUM price, so if you’re in the market for a fantastic, affordable mop, this is the one for you.)
If you want to take something off your weekly to-do list, this very sought-after robot vacuum will do just that.
And, instead of your floors staying messy until you have the chance to make some time to vacuum them, this robot vacuum will vacuum for you, whenever you need it. (It works well for both hard floors & carpets.)
If you’re planning on doing any kind of home organization in the new year, these storage cubes will be your saving grace. They look nice, and they store things for you. It’s a win-win! All too often storage bins are ugly. Thankfully, these ones aren’t. And they’re on sale! 🙂
If the prior storage cubes aren’t so much your style, these storage bins may be. I love how versatile they are, plus, when they’re not in use you can fold them flat for easy storage & to keep them out of the way until they’re needed.
Speaking of home organization, if you struggle to find space to store your broom, mop, duster or anything else like that, why not utilize your vertical storage? (You know – all that space on your walls that is literally FREE, while you pile item upon item cramped on the floor.)
Anytime anyone asks me what my NUMBER ONE tip for keeping an organized house, and how to keep the house cleaner, my answer is always: USE A SHOE RACK. I’d shout it from the rooftops if I could. (But I can’t, and it’s cold outside, so I won’t.) Shoe racks keep shoes organized and stops dirt right at the door (instead of dragging it through the entire house). One of my favorite shoe racks just happens to be on a really good sale right now.
Throw blankets are AWESOME home decor to have, because they double as something toasty to wrap yourself in on those chilly mornings. Unfortunately, you can have too many throw blankets ( 🙁 ), and if that’s the case, these would make for an affordable – and very thoughtful – Christmas gift.
If you want to turn it up a notch from your regular old throw blanket, this electric throw blanket brings the heat (literally).
If you don’t have a kitchen scale already, you should definitely add this one to your Black Friday must-haves. A kitchen scale is SUCH a handy tool to have – I use mine mostly for measuring out raw ground beef… I buy my ground beef bulk when it’s on sale (to get a WAY better price), then I bring it home and divide it up into 1-pound packets – using my scale – to freeze.
If you’ve got someone in your life who is the BBQ-king, this wireless bluetooth thermometer would be the perfect gift for them.
I’ve got one of these (without the spiralizer, unfortunately) and I use it a lot – I love to use it for slicing potatoes thinly or apples when I’m making apple chips.
A programmable crockpot is a homemaker must-have because it allows you to set the time you want it to turn on, so that whether you’re home or not during the day, you can still come home to a fully-cooked, mouth-watering homemade meal. (Just make sure you get a PROGRAMMABLE crockpot, otherwise it’s not as amazing.)
An Instant Pot is next on my to-get list. I don’t have one (yet), but I hope to get one soon, I’ve heard really good things from people I know who use Instant Pots. So, if you’ve been in the market for one now is the time to get it (it doesn’t get much better than a price like this).
(Which can also double as flour, sugar, and coffee storage containers.) These are easy to pour out of, and they seal nicely, so they’ll keep your food fresh longer – and it sure beats having a bunch of half-empty cereal boxes in your pantry. (Plus I love that you can label them!)
I’ve got a set of food storage containers just like these that I store my flour & sugar in. I love them because I can get my flour & sugar by buying them in bulk, and then I can store them in these containers and I don’t have to worry about them going bad before I use them up.
I recommend using this type of storage container for keeping leftovers in – it’s the best way to eliminate wasted food because you can easily see exactly what’s in the container, without having to pull it out of the fridge & take the lid off.
If you’ve been waiting for a good price to come on some nonstick pans, this is the time to buy. This set of nonstick pots & pans is on sale for a crazy good price right now.
My husband and I have a stovetop kettle, but I love the look of this hamilton beach kettle. Plus, we use Hamilton Beach for other appliances in our kitchen, so I know they’re a trustworthy brand. (Our coffee maker – which we LOVE because we can either make just a single cup, or an entire pot of coffee – is Hamilton beach.)
While we’re on the topic of Hamilton Beach kitchen appliances, they have a good deal on their toaster right now, too.
My husband and I haven’t had our mattress for very long, and we like it, but we regret not getting a mattress cover for it right away. Because already it’s full of sweat stains (gross) and TONS of dead skin cells (which we can’t see, but definitely know are there).
If your mattress is too hard but you aren’t looking to purchase a new one, a mattress cover could be all you need. (Especially this pillowtop one – it’s like you’re sleeping on clouds!)
I recently went out and bought a humidifier, and now that I’m seeing the price of this one I’m kind of wishing I would have waited for Black Friday to get it at a better price. (But, unfortunately, sickness doesn’t wait for anyone, so we had to get it when we did.)
