"Instead of simply providing a generic cleaning list, she walks you through the steps to decide what cleaning tasks are important to you and your family"
The "Busy Mom's Guide to a Clean and Organized Home" is an AMAZING resource for anyone who is looking to take back control of their home. While Amy doesn't tell you exactly WHAT to clean, she helps you figure out the perfect cleaning routine for you and your specific home's needs. Instead of simply providing a generic cleaning list, she walks you through the steps to decide what cleaning tasks are important to you and your family and then how to setup a schedule that you can easily stick to.
The chapter on purging your house is especially important because minimizing the clutter will actually cut down on the amount of cleaning you have to do. SCORE! I also like the tip about cleaning where you are. I have been trying to do this throughout my day and it definitely helps keep things at baseline, rather than needing to do a huge cleanup in the evenings.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs help setting up and implementing a cleaning routine. This book is a great place to start!
- Tara, a busy mom of 2
Balancing a clean home, momming, and homemaking all at the same time is hard.
You're not super-woman, but it feels like people expect you to be.
If you're an exhausted mom who is ready to make even just one daily task a little bit easier, this is for you.
You want a clean house, but you don't want another thing added to your plate - you're busy enough as is!
The Busy Mom's Guide was created to take something off of your plate. It was created to help you achieve that clean house that you desire to have, even when you don't have time to spend cleaning it!
Through this workbook you'll learn cleaning hacks and tricks that will help you keep your home clean and organized even when you're busy chasing kids around all day. (Kids who just happen to be leaving a tornado of dirt and laundry everywhere they go.)
Here are some frequently asked questions about The Busy Mom's Guide:
While I can't speak for all cleaning resources, most of them focus solely on cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.
("Well, yea. Isn't that why I'm here?")
The Busy Mom's Guide helps you to clean your house using a different approach. I teach you how to clean your house in short periods of time, so you don't end up neglecting your kids in an attempt to achieve the clean house you desire.
I believe that spending time with your kids is far more important than living in a perfectly clean house. And that's why my approach to cleaning comes from making messes.
I want you to be able to go out and make some messes with your kids. Play in the dirt (even though the dirt will get tracked into your house), make some crafts (even though paint and glue will get onto the floor), and bake cookies (even though flour will end up everywhere. Yes - everywhere).
I am a strong believer in making messes with kids. I believe in letting kids live a little and have fun doing it.
But I also get stressed out when our house becomes a mess.
So, I've taken this different approach to a clean house and shared with you through my workbook how you can allow your kids to make messes, but still live in a clean house.
(And no, it's not magic!)
With the hands-on approach.
You could preach at me all day long trying to teach me something, but unless I'm actually, doing it for myself, everything you say will likely go in one ear and out the other.
So, I teach the way that I learn best - through interactive learning.
This hands-on learning method that I teach in allows you to LEARN what you need to know, then gives you the chance to IMPLEMENT the things you've just learned.
This book is written mainly for moms with small kids in the house. If you're a mom with kids ages 0 - 15, this workbook will be a great fit for you.
If your kids are grown and out of the house, you won't get as much value out of the book (as some sections are dedicated to moms with young kids), but you should still be able to learn a few new things. However, I would suggest that this book is a better fit for moms with young kids.
This workbook was designed for busy moms who have little kids in the home (ages 0 - 15). The workbook was designed as a way for busy moms to finally be able to feel like they CAN have a clean house even when they don't have all day to spend cleaning.
If you're a busy mom who can't seem to get a break, is overwhelmed with her daily tasks, and struggles with a messy home, this is for you.
If your kids are grown and out of the house, this workbook might not be the best fit for you as it focuses on the life of moms with kids still living in the house.
Or, if you have already learned the secret-sauce of keeping a clean home and doing all your daily tasks without overwhelm, then this workbook probably isn't for you.
TBMG is self-paced, meaning you could motor through it in a week, or take a couple of months to work through it. This allows you the freedom to work on it at nap time, or in little spurts whenever you get a chance. But remember - if you power through it and don't implement what you've learned, you won't get the results you're after.
This is why I encourage moms to take their time as they work through the workbook, don't focus on getting it done fast, focus on getting it done right. The more you put in to it, the more you'll get out of it.
When you buy The Busy Mom's Guide, you will get the whole digital interactive workbook that comes complete with dozens of printable worksheets for you to print off and use as you go through the book.
No - The Busy Mom's Guide is solely digital, which I love, because that means you're able to download and start using it right after you purchase it rather than having to wait a week or two for it to come in the mail. :)
Unfortunately, because of the nature of digital products, I am not able to offer any sort of refunds at this time.
